Overview
Natasha represents individuals and businesses in commercial, regulatory, and white collar criminal matters.
Natasha Townes Robinson is a Shareholder at Fredrikson whose practice centers on high stakes civil litigation, complex regulatory and white collar matters, and sophisticated retail sector disputes. She represents corporations and individuals in matters involving subpoenas, investigations, compliance, and litigation strategy, drawing on deep experience across federal, state, and administrative forums.
Natasha regularly guides clients through the full lifecycle of subpoena driven inquiries including responding, negotiating scope, protecting privileges, and defending against overbroad or unenforceable demands. Her background in public sector enforcement gives her unique insight into how regulators, agencies, and opposing counsel build and pursue complex investigative records, enabling her to advise clients with foresight, efficiency, and precision.
Her white collar and regulatory work includes, internal investigations, health care compliance, and professional licensing matters. She has represented clients in federal and state courts and has handled dozens of evidentiary hearings and bench trials involving search and seizure issues, Fourth Amendment challenges, and scientific evidence disputes.
Natasha also maintains a significant practice advising major retailers. Her work includes advising and negotiating subpoena enforcement matters, serving as litigation counsel in consumer class actions involving gift card laws, email marketing, and pixel tracking allegations. Her command of both regulatory nuance and civil litigation strategy makes her a trusted partner for retail clients facing simultaneous litigation and compliance pressures.
Before joining Fredrikson, Natasha served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, where she worked in the Public Safety and Health Licensing divisions. She was a member of the prosecution team that secured the conviction of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd. The International Association of Prosecutors recognized this work with its Special Achievement Award (group) in 2023.
Across her practice, Natasha combines litigation experience, investigative skill, and practical judgment to help clients navigate disputes and enforcement matters with confidence.
