Brendan Mochoruk

Brendan’s practice focuses on advising clients on mergers, acquisitions and general corporate matters.

Brendan represents private equity funds, privately held companies, and public companies across a wide range of industries and market segments in complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining Fredrikson, Brendan practiced corporate law in the Chicago office of Sidley Austin, LLP. Before attending Northwestern University School of Law, he worked as an economic policy researcher first with the White House’s Council of Economic Advisers during the Obama Administration, and then with the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy in the Economic Studies Division of The Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.

• Advised a private equity firm in its $180 million acquisition of a leading provider of managed IT, hosted VoIP, and cybersecurity services.
• Represented a global public beverage company in a series of strategic acquisitions of branded assets.
• Advised a private equity-backed global provider of customer experience and business process solutions on its international acquisition of a company specializing in dataset creation and management for use in artificial intelligence and large language model training.
• Represented a private equity fund in its sale of a platform company focused on providing financial expertise and fractional CFO services.
• Advised a private investment firm on its acquisition of a technology services company specializing in Microsoft solutions, including software implementation, training, and consulting.
• Represented a private equity-backed company in its acquisition of a business specializing in customer experience and operations support for clients in financial services, e-commerce, SaaS, and social media sectors.
• Advised a leading provider of insurance and financial products in its strategic acquisition of an employee communication and engagement platform.
• Advised a private equity firm in a series of acquisitions of leading providers of building information modeling and virtual design and construction services.
