Fredrikson shareholder Loan T. Huynh was named to the 2026 Top Women in Law list from Minnesota Lawyer. The recognition celebrates women attorneys who are at the forefront of the state's legal profession and who epitomize the principles of leadership, professionalism and community involvement.
As chair of Fredrikson's Immigration Group and a member of its Board of Directors, Huynh has made a substantial impact in her more than 20 years at the firm. Under her leadership, the immigration practice expanded and the group has been positioned to help clients navigate a period of significant change in immigration laws, policies and enforcement.
"Loan has built an exceptional immigration practice that distinguishes Fredrikson from other firms in our region," Fredrikson President Melodie R. Rose said. "Her leadership has been instrumental in helping our clients, attorneys, staff and community understand the evolving immigration landscape. Her ability to navigate complex and uncertain issues has made a meaningful difference for those we serve."
During the period of heavy immigration enforcement at the beginning of the year, Huynh and the rest of her team spent days, evenings and weekends assisting their clients who were seeking guidance on fluctuating employment immigration policies. Additionally, Huynh helped Fredrikson litigation attorneys who were tackling pro bono cases understand the complexities of immigration law. She also shared her knowledge as widely as possible by accepting invitations to talk to local community groups, creating a public list of information related to immigration, and sharing insights with local and national media outlets.
Huynh and all the Top Women in Law honorees will be celebrated at an October 22 event in Minneapolis.
