Fredrikson’s Chief Operating Officer Ann Rainhart has been named to the O Shaped 2026 O List, honoring individuals who make a positive impact in the legal profession and embody the 5 Os mindset. Rainhart will be celebrated in Central London in March and showcased among the other 13 award recipients online.
As Fredrikson’s chief operating officer, Rainhart has executive responsibility for Finance, IT, Marketing, Human Resources and Practice Management, and she acts in an ex-officio capacity on Fredrikson’s Board of Directors and its Executive Committee. Through her involvement with the firm’s senior management team, Rainhart plays a leading role in pursuing the firm’s strategic objectives, managing the complexities of implementation, monitoring success metrics and aligning resources that translate plans and goals into effective action.
Rainhart brings 25 years of law firm management experience to her role. Prior to joining Fredrikson, Ann served as chief strategy officer at Taft, where she guided the firm in articulating its vision, identifying opportunities and executing innovative operational strategies. Rainhart’s legal industry experience includes serving as the chief operating officer of Briggs and Morgan, and as the chief talent officer at Faegre Baker Daniels. She was previously director of legal personnel at Faegre & Benson, and part of the human resources team at Stinson Leonard Street. Ann began her career in law firm administration at Chapman and Cutler in Chicago.
Rainhart is a frequent author and presenter on the topics of legal operations and leadership. At the heart of Rainhart’s work is her conviction that organizations thrive when strategy is grounded in clear priorities, talent is fully engaged and leadership is equipped to handle complexity head-on.
O Shaped launched the O List in 2023 to showcase people across the legal sector who consistently go above and beyond to make the legal profession better for those who are in it, those who use it and those who are entering it.
